How to Make a Documentary

Documentaries are one of the easiest types of films to make and earn income.  They usually don't require a team as big as that required for a movie.  Documentaries can be made by one person or can get the assistance of a film crew as needed.  Some documentaries could include interview throughout the film to make it more interesting.  Documentaries are usually about a singular subject and the circumstances or issues around that subject.  The narrator may be the person who is the subject or is involved with the subject.  Film footage from cell phones or camera or camcorder can be used to create the documentary.  A good script is recommended to stick with.  Tools for editing can include filmora, canvas, iMovie, final cut pro, Davinci, and similar types of editing software.  Here is good structure for a documentary:

Documentaries can be sold on Amazon, GumRoad, Vimeo, Patreon, or other types of platforms.  They can also be sold to mainstream companies if good enough.  They can also be put on Youtube or similar platforms to earn ad income.  It's up to the creator to decide how to market the documentary.

About Me

My photo
I have always enjoyed studying ancient cultures, legends, folklore and mythology and have observed that most ancient stories are very similar across all cultures including stories of floods and giants and little people. I visit many of the places I write about. The cover art of many of my books includes my own photography with some imagery illustrated into the photograph.
