Can Journaling Help you Write?
I have been journaling for over 31 years and 100% yes, it can help you write. Let me summarize my ideas on journaling:
Journaling means that you regularly write down your personal thoughts, ideas, dreams, plans, and more. There are no strict rules, but some recommend to journal daily. Diary writing is different in that it just records the day. Journaling has intention.
Regular journaling can reduce stress, organize thought, process trauma, help create ideas, solve problems, record events, allow for gratitude, and allow for self-awareness. Different journals can be used for different reasons or projects.
Journaling can be inspired by thoughts, dreams, nature, by people, or just life. Journaling can include art, symbols, pictures, and writing.
I have written many of my ideas down and have come back to them and organized products. Journaling is a very important tool in the writer's toolkit.
Lastly, be aware of privacy. Don't write down something very private that could fall into the wrong hands. Use journaling as a tool and a hobby.
Are you out there? Have I written anything that has helped you?
Is anyone out there reading my blog in the year 2026? Does anyone read blogs? I wonder. Should I work this more? Am I helping?

Writing, Filmmaking, and Art are the Only Things that have Kept Me Sane, in this Insane World!
Time is valuable. I realize that the only thing that has kept me sane in this insane world, is writing, filmmaking, and art. I have so little time to do what I want to do with these crafts and I am trying to get to the point where I can do it all. I look back now over the things I have written and see all the typos I couldn't catch because I was stretched thin.
I've watched people around me implode and then explode. Nothing has been easy for me. The only thing that kept me sane was my writing, filmmaking, and art. I have a passion for a niche that includes myths, legends, and folklore. It also includes hidden history, the paranormal, and art of all kinds. These things have given me comfort along the way in this life.
Time is limited, but I wish to finish what is in my head before the path is over. I hope to expand on teaching the process of all of this and the journey to help others who find themselves seeking to express themselves through art in this crazy world while doing it with so little support.
Wish me luck to finish my mission, before the time is up.

Are you a Writer?
What is a writer? A writer is someone who likes or loves to write. We all have to write something at some time in our lives whether in school, work such as email, social media, or text messages. But a writer wants to write a creation. They want to write a book, a poem, a song, a movie, a journal, a recipe book, a memoir, a play, etc.. A writer has an internal craving to write whether they make money or not. If they can make money, even the better. But the theme of "Starving Artist" is not just something made up. It is very difficult for creatives to sell their work. It is very difficult to find their audience sometimes. But when it all comes together (the writer and the audience) and the two like each other, it's magic. There is a creativity part of the writing and there is a process and formula to writing. The creativity is what makes the writing original and the process/formula is what makes it marketable. When ready to write for profit, a writer must know their target audience. Once they know their target audience, they must be able to market their work and not just create it. Thus, the writer wears many hats.

About Me
- RitaJeanMoran
- I have always enjoyed studying ancient cultures, legends, folklore and mythology and have observed that most ancient stories are very similar across all cultures including stories of floods and giants and little people. I visit many of the places I write about. The cover art of many of my books includes my own photography with some imagery illustrated into the photograph.
